Five things you could do to make your skin look great

Jealous of the flawless skin your colleague has? Wonder about the products she uses or the parlour she goes to? More often than not, people with great skins have simple regimes and mostly it is about being healthy from the inside.

  1. Use honey as a face mask for glowing skin.
  2. Papaya and curd makes a wonderful anti tan agent and also cleans out old dead skin cells. You could also cut half a tomatoe and use it like a soap before a bath to de tan your skin.
  3. Soak some masoor dal (lentils) and raw rice overnight and then grind them in the morning. Use the ground lentils before a bath to scrub your skin for a glowing radiance throughout the day.
  4. Use fresh cream and Besan as a mask to get a creamy look.
  5. Use Virgin Coconut oil to moisturise your skin without making it look oily.

  1. Going out but need to get the hair off your legs? Go easy on yourself and use a hair conditioner before you apply the razor. Not only will your legs look smoother, you will avoid razor cuts.
  2. Have coloured hair that looks dry now? Just apply a bit of lemon juice before combing out your hair to make them look glossy
  3. Add a little peppermint oil to your lip gloss to help with that pout.
  4. Just a little bit of dark brown eyeshadow on your brows will make them look thick.
  5. If you run out of a blush, use your lipstick or a coloured lip-balm and blend it downwards.

Potty/pee training a dog

When a dog/pup pees on a spot you don't want them to pee, put unused news paper on it. immediately.

After soaking the pee in the newspaper, please spray the non desired area with Vinegar and clean it up really well. (Phenyl, soapy water does NOT work) dogs go to pee where they can find the smell.

Always keep towels and newspaper handy.... it is very easy to potty train your dog
but be consistent in cleaning up immediately or the smell will sink in - We humans can't smell it.

Put the newspaper in the place where you want your dog to pee or poop.

Take your dog out to pee every two hours if they are pups, immediately after they eat and just after they finish their nap.

If you catch them peeing at the wrong place - Don't punish them. Just stop them mid way through their act, distract them, then pick them and take them to the spot where you want them to pee... Heap praises when they pee or potty at the right spot.

Don't get disheartened if you don't see immediate results.

Five important tips for travelling in the winters

Winters are a lovely time to travel around the world. You will find the most beautiful destinations even more beautiful with the lovely cool weather, without all the sweat and the tanning to worry about.

But travelling in this season needs a bit of planning especially if you live in really cold areas.

Plan and pack
You may love travelling impromptu but in the winters try and plan early. Consider what time you have in hand. If you go to a place where it snows in winters, think about whether you are packed for the cold.

Leave Early
It seems like a good tip to stick to in any weather but winters are the time to be extra careful. Leave at least an hour earlier than what you had planned for your flight. Cars break down more often in winters. There is also fog or an unseasonal rain to consider. A lot of flights are recheduled so reaching the airport early would certainly be a boon.

Medication
Buy all the necessary medication and pack it carefully. In the small chance that you are stuck somewhere, you don't want to fall sick. Also pack in some first aid just in case.

Child Safety
If you are travelling with a child make sure they have enough warm clothes. Pack more than necessary if you are unsure. Children play in the snow and can get their clothing wet, it is better to have an extra set instead of risking a flu.

Road trip safety

Carry these essentials tow rope, jumper cables, sand to aid with traction in case you are going to the mountains, blankets, flashlights, matches and emergency candles. Also carry alot of fluids as it is easy to get dehydrated in the winters since we don't feel as thirsty due to the cold and it can cause a lot of problems
